Boundary roads and the future precinct

Melton West sits between High Street, Coburns Road, Western Freeway. The Victorian Planning Authority has published an indicative boundary for a future Melton West precinct of about 354 hectares, and Melton West is identified in the Victorian Government's 10 year plan for Melbourne's greenfields as a Horizon 3 growth precinct, with its Precinct Structure Plan scheduled to commence between 2029/30 and 2033/34. Nothing is approved, gazetted, zoned, released or selling. Today Melton West is an established residential suburb with active and completed estates.
